The Commitment of a Hundred Volunteers towards Protecting Child Rights

Posted on Posted in Human Rights, Uncategorized

The development and publication by Humanium of the first 100 country profiles on Children’s Rights was possible thanks to the commitment of around one hundred volunteers that contributed via the internet, from all around the world

The profiles highlight the main problems faced by children in their respective countries.

Conceptualised over a year ago, these profiles have been compiled along with the joint effort of a team of volunteers.  It is still an ongoing project and eventually, every country in the world will have its own profile.

Through research, writing, proof-reading and translation, Humanium has been successful in developing a Portal dedicated to Children’s Rights, and has thus been able to raise awareness among nearly 140 000 people in 2011.  In 2012, the country profiles will further enrich the contents of the Portal and will promote wider awareness.

We therefore wish to acknowledge the commitment of all volunteers who have acted behind the scenes, offering their time and patience to complete all the work.  By sharing their opinions and comments, they have helped us develop these profiles so that they are practical and accessible to everyone.

Thus, new means of communication have allowed us to go further in the development of the activities of the Association and to form a community in its own right.  We hereby invite you to join our community in order to support our projects for children all around the world.

Join us and become a defender of Children’s Rights!
