Child trafficking

Each year, more than 10,000 people are identified as victims of trafficking around the world. Of these victims, 13% are girls and 9% boys. These figures only represent a small proportion of the victims identified.

Whether one speaks of sexual abuse, sexual violence or sexual exploitation for commercial purposes, they are all criminal offences and cause intolerable suffering for the children affected.

Child prostitution

Every day, children across the world are subjected to harmful forms of exploitation in prostitution. It is not restricted to a particular region of the world and equally affects boys and girls.
