Fair trade products sale at Meyrin Market – Saturday August 29, 2009

Humanium was at the Meyrin Market on August 29, 2009, in order to sell fair trade Indian products.
Arndt, Olivier and Shaya ran the stand from 8 am to 2 pm.

On the stand, one could find fair trade products which sustain local producers, integration centers for women, recycling centers, etc. The profits from the sale of those 100% natural products are used to finance Humanium projects.

All our products encountered a great success, smells from India express for themselves! When we explained to the buyers that the sale of those products will help children in India, they realized how meaningful their action turned out to be!

Taking advantage of this event, we launched the operation Plant of Hope, which allows helping a child for one month by buying a flower at a price of Fr. 15.–. This action was very well appreciated by Meyrin’s inhabitants, who were happy to help Indian children to go to school.

We took the opportunity to give information about our Indian projects and the sponsorship of children.

We thank the Geneva Institution Department, its employees’ kindness and the authorizations they kindly granted to us.

THANKS A LOT TO EVERYBODY WHO TOOK PART IN A WAY OR ANOTHER!

And thanks again to the Meyrin’s authorities, the Municipal Security Department and the Service de la Gérance for having lent to us various material.

Without your help, we would not have been able to send so many children to school in such a short period of time.
