Humanium launched a new global project aiming to support sustainable development in the village of Azakusamudram, in the Southeast of India.
Through its educational program, Humanium improves education and childcare conditions at the village school in order to ensure a sustainable education for all children.
12 awareness campaigns have been already conducted with all the villagers so that they realize how necessary it is to ensure a regular education to all children without discrimination. Humanium has paid a particular attention to the prevention and the eradication of Child Labour, and to discrimination suffered by girls.
The school was provided with adequate teaching materials, games, dishes, a water purifier and also rugs so that children are no longer sitting on the concrete floor.
If much progress has already been made, efforts to ensure the access to education for every child have to be carried on. With Humanium, Child Sponsorship is a concrete solution which directly helps children and creates a sustainable autonomy by allowing families to meet their own needs by themselves.
