Humanium is acting in response to the Keelpasar residents’ appeal where the residents face daily struggle to access basic healthcare, education, and necessities for their families and children.
A happy childhood is impossible because of the lack of regular family income, which forces children to work in order to survive. Access to basic health services is very limited, and a poor health system increases the spread of diseases that affect mostly children.
The majority of women are illiterate and do not have any professional training. They depend upon their husband and their contribution to household decisions and local life remains very limited despite many government initiatives.
Access to safe drinking water is a daily challenge for the residents of Keelpasar. The village itself is very dirty and bad agricultural practices jeopardize the environment. Humanium aims to co-create favorable conditions within 24 months to allow for sustainable development driven by the residents themselves in order to ameliorate their lives.
With a range of training sessions, sensitization campaigns, optimization of available resources, and the implementation of 5 capacity building programs, we will allow the local population to improve their development independently.
